About Kids Coop Theatre

Kids Coop Theatre was established in 1997 by a small group of parents as a 501(c) 3 educational charity. Their goal then, as it is today, was to provide children with an opportunity to build self-esteem and learn valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and discipline in a fun, non-competitive environment.
Kids Coop Theatre gives all of its members, regardless of acting skill, an opportunity to perform in its shows. This is a unique policy that reduces competition, promotes actor confidence, and encourages teamwork and cast harmony.
- Membership is open to families with children ages 8 to 18.

- The "Coop" in our name means that we are a cooperative. We emphasize active parent involvement and rely heavily on the dedication of parent volunteers to produce each show, and conduct all business activities
Kids Coop produces four family-friendly musicals each year at the Derry Opera House, attracting young actors from all over southern New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts who perform for sold-out audiences.
